  Across distant colonies, sprawling industrial railways cut through the barren frontier, linking isolated cities, mining facilities, and forgotten settlements. Once a life filled with civilization…. has now ended abruptly.  These trains now carry more than passengers and supplies; trains now carry the weight of survival.  Steel cars groan under the strain of long journeys, cargo holds rattle with fragile remnants of industry, and dining compartments sit empty, haunted by the echoes of lives that have long since vanished.    Through wide, grime-streaked windows, travelers catch glimpses of a world scarred by neglect and decay, where twisted metal, abandoned outposts, and wasteland horizons stretch as far as the eye can see.

But the rails have grown deadly. A Dangerous world has become infested with a creeping, alien symbiote that now prowls the train lines, infecting everything it touches and turning ordinary journeys into relentless tests of skill and courage. Each railcar may conceal monstrous forms, unseen traps, and the remnants of those who came before.  Survival is no longer based on the quick, the cunning; only the ruthless will survive.

Into this nightmare steps Veronica, an operative of the RailBound Response Division (RRD). Her mission: exterminate the infestation and make it to Haven, the steel city looming faintly on the horizon.  Every railcar is a crucible; every step forward is a gamble with death. The train barrels relentlessly through the wasteland, and with every passing mile, the line between life and death grows ever thinner.

  RAILBOUND is a fast-paced 2D rogue-like indie game.  Every ride is a test of skill, reflexes, and strategize as you battle through treacherous railcars, each filled with deadly traps and relentless enemies. No two runs are ever the same—procedurally generated levels ensure that danger lurks around every corner, keeping you on your toes from the first car to the final car.

As the last hope for survival, you must choose your path wisely. Will you risk dangerous railcars for valuable resources, or play it safe and focus on survival? 

• Upgrade your weapons and abilities between runs, crafting a unique arsenal to suit your playstyle. From swinging melee attacks to explosive firearms, every weapon can be enhanced, customized, and mastered to dominate the ever-changing threats of the train.

• Master your movement to survive the relentless onslaught: dash to evade attacks, parry to turn enemy strikes against them, wall jump to reach unreachable platforms and slide down walls to control your descent. Combat is fluid, rewarding skillful timing, precision, and strategic thinking.

Every ride through RAILBOUND is a story of survival, testing your reflexes and decision-making. Will you conquer the rails, uncover hidden secrets, and outlast the wasteland—or will the abandoned train become your tomb? With high replay ability, challenging enemies, and emergent gameplay, each run offers a new and thrilling experience for rogue-like enthusiasts and action gamers alike.

Gameplay Mechanics:

• Parry: Time your attacks perfectly to deflect enemy strikes, opening them up for a counterattack. 

• Dash: Quickly close the gap or evade enemy attacks with a burst of speed. 

• Wall Jump: Scale walls to reach higher platforms or avoid deadly traps. 

• Wall Slide: Slide down walls to control your descent and prepare for precise jumps. 

• Weapon Upgrades: Collect scrap and resources to enhance your arsenal, making each run unique. 

• Generated Levels: Each train ride is different, with random layouts, enemies, and hazards.

How to Play:

• Navigate the Train: Move between railcars, jumping, dashing, and wall-jumping to traverse platforms and avoid traps. 

• Engage Enemies: Use your weapons and abilities strategically—parry to turn the tide, dash to reposition, and chain combos to clear enemies. 

• Collect and Upgrade: Gather resources to upgrade weapons and abilities, adapting to the evolving dangers of the train. 

• Choose Your Path: Some railcars offer safer routes, others more rewards—but greater risk. Decide if you’ll gamble for loot or play it safe. 

• Survive the Ride: Every run tests your skill and reflexes. Master movement, timing, and combat to reach the end of the train… if you can.
